EAS on WHPX/26

Simple error on whoever coded the EAS test at the NWS, or the time is off on the EAS box WHPX. The CG crawls for EAS text are automatically generated by the EAS box based on the data it received or internally generated. (i.e. weekly tests)
They aren't manually typed in.

Thunderstorms, let's see if they're up there...

Survey says... !

Its the NWS, I've been noticing them too. Though I think Bob has a TFT there, probably one serial number off of mine. They are notoriously bad with the time. Can't wait for CAP to come through. This technology is 15 years old, and most of the boxes are too!

I keep my clock on time by a minute or so... but the warning times generated by the CG are based on the expiration time, someone at the NWS isn't doing their math right.

I had 5 TFT's at the MCO in Springfield and it was not uncommon for them to not only drift off in time, but also "self adjust" the time zone as well. The box I have in place for WCTX had adjusted it self so many times, and so severely, I had shipped the box to TFT who had it for a month to solve the issue. (The ended up replacing the main board in the unit). It still drifts but it isn't as bad.
