EAS ORDER

Interesting read here.June 30 is deadline to be EAS Cap compliant .It can be done with converter or intermediary devices to your legacy unit. Now the BAD news those devices including legacy units will have to be replaced by June 30,2015. Got to love that if you bought one of those converters!! Basically a huge waste of money that could have been allocated for a new box.

Maybe yes, maybe no. The main requirement is that the "intermediary device" as they call it is capable of enhanced text--for TV crawls. Otherwise, the device has to be replaced with a full-cap compliant device. So--there is a problem if the intermediary device can't produce an acceptable crawl on a radio station??
