EAS Sage ENDEC CAP Server addresses?

Anyone else using Common Alert Protocol settings on their blue Sage boxes? Curious if CAP server addresses are available, and if so how the system seems to be running? Thanks!

I'd drag my heels on setting any CAP server stuff in your box until the very last minute. These CLOWNS can't figure out day-to-day what they want, what their doing, and how to get there. Setting your stuff to try to work with it at this point is only inviting some screwed-up mess to make it to your air, and also ensures that you'll have to visit the site of your EAS box, if it's remote, more than once. At this point there is no penalty for simply not using that part of the new box. We have to have the new box in by a certain time. OK. Done that. Waiting for the next thing they'll force on us. Until then, I'll do what's useful and repeat NWS Tornado, Amber and Evacs alerts. Let the political buffoons keep playing in their EAS CrAP sandbox until they get their little sandcastle the way they want it. They'll issue some type of mandate when they get to that point :).

My philosophy on this kind of thing tends to be to do what you have the info to do as far in advance as possible; that way, when they release the last bit of information at the last possible minute, that's the only piece of information you have to deal with. You don't find yourself scrambling to input a few dozen FIPS codes that you've known about for months, or trying to figure out why the box's internet connection isn't working, etc.,. etc...

With the Sage you can test the internet connection. For that matter, the time will slowly drift off if your box isn't connecting to the internet.

So, if you're connected to the internet, sit back, and wait for clarity on what/when/how on CAP.

The main thing I think would be very helpful is making sure you have the ability to remotely get into your box set up. Considering how many times they change their minds on this CrAP, it would be a great idea. That way when they decide to change IP addresses in the future even, you're covered. If the box is in the studio you hang out in regularly, it doesn't matter.
