EAS Test: Dud In Denver

Yesterday's EAS test faired poorly in Denver too. The test signal failed to activate at ABC-affilliate, KMGH, then the audio failed for at least 90-minutes. Other stations had problems as well.

FEMA & the FCC collaborated on a nice little spin, saying that the EAS test served it's purpose by identifying potential problems downline. Sounded like a used car salesman looking at the bright side of a failed test drive.

I was MSNBC (Channel 129 feed for the sake of accuracy) at the time & didn't notice a thing. Nothing happened

Identifying potential problems was the whole idea behind the test in the first place

Remember in the movie Independence Day when the President & his staff stepped outside & onto the White House lawn & the President told his press secretary (Portrayed by actress Margaret Kiddo) to activate the EBS when they saw the alien spaceship that later destroyed the city ?? That's what this reminds me of ;D

Cheers & 73 :)
