Here is the channel lineup from my time living in Concord and Dublin, CA in those years:

KTVU Oakland
KCRA (NBC) Sacramento
KRON (NBC) San Francisco
KPIX (CBS) San Francisco
KGSC (Ch. 36) San Jose
KSGO (ABC) San Francisco
KEMO (Ch. 20) San Francisco
KQED (PBS) San Francisco
KXTV (CBS) Sacramento
KTXL (Ch. 40) Sacramento
KBHK (Ch. 44) San Francisco
KOVR (ABC) Sacarmento

Also, starting in late 1978 or early 1979, at around 6:00 pm, Channel 10 was taken over by KQEC Ch. 32, the secondary PBS station to KQED, and Channel 3 by KDTV San Francisco (SIN; now Univision). The latter's channel number was 60 until March 5, 1979 when it swapped channel numbers with PBS affiliate KCSM Channel 14 of San Mateo.
