East Carolina fined by FCC

Towers without lights are very dangerous to air traffic.
And unlit towers in Eastern NC (because of military maneuvers and general aviation) are especially hazardous.

As I've said before, this is the broadcasting equivalent of repetitive drunk driving.
You're asking for trouble, and an unwanted FCC inspection.

All you have to do is occasionally visually inspect your facilities and then self-report the problem.

If they can't afford the lightbulbs or somebody to change the bulbs how are they going to pay a fine like that?

No money in NE NC. I think ECRI trys hard. I enjoy WERX Shark. Poor audio quality. Their AM stations might be on the air sometimes. No excuse for tower light problems w FAA and FCC.
