Why is easy 991 identifying itself as a Boston station? Plymouth is closer to providence and the Newport south coast area, all of cape cod and the south shore than Boston . Boston really has nothing to do with Plymouth . The commercials are local, but weather traffic etc. is Boston. They say north shore metro west Rockford stone ham and you can't get them the Boston dma extends further south than it needs to and wsne is the same distance from Boston . But doesn't target and plm is playing songs that by all means aren't easy

I'm sure that they hope to get advertisers in Boston, even if the ones they currently have are mostly south shore. There is more revenue to be had in Boston than Plymouth, the south shore, south coast, Cape, RI, etc... so that's why they target Boston, but they will naturally take advertisers from those areas south of Boston where their signal is strongest as well.

WPLM comes in fairly well on any decent radio through and beyond Boston. I get a decent signal on them even over the New Hampshire line until the 99.1 in Henniker, NH starts cutting them out by Manchester.

I was listening to WPLM a little this afternoon. Large playlist. Healthy local spot load. Live disc jockey. Plenty of decent tunes. Easy but not wimpy.

WPLM is my idea of a successful, smartly programmed regional radio station. Nobody is perfect.

For a small station they do very well, they can be heard in southern NH except when that pesky Lowell pirate is on the 99.1

They do have the lovely and talented Audrey Constant on mid days, that is a plus

on the down side they run the Queen of Sap at night.

full disclosure I was offered a gig there a while back, by the previous PD. I had to decline the offer.
