Amen.

Well folks... the numbers don't lie.

KKWF over KMPS 12+, 18-34 and 25-54 overall.

The Wolf also beat Ichabod in Morning Drive 12+, 18-34 and 25-54.

Obviously I can't post the numbers here , but since you're all so well connected, get a copy of the numbers and see if I'm right.

Hmmm. It all happened in just about a year too.

Cowboy hats off to the Wolf.

From a listeners view, their morning show with old Icky and the crew is too old, too slow to keep up with the Wolf. Not in age, but in style, attitude, topics discussed. Will someone tell the old news guy birthdays aren't news and I don't need to know when it's Sid Ceasars birthday. Out of touch. The whole bunch of them in the morning.

Add to that, the PD Brenners only strategy for success is to hope the Wolf goes away and meanwhile slap a new country label on their old tired product. The new thing they need at 94.1 is a PD. But they won't change a thing, and the Wolf which already beats them easily with TSL will keep chipping away at their cume.

Not on all accounts.

Before you get too excited, let's look at some facts:
The Wolf gains 0.2 share 12+ (I'll just stick to 12+ to be simple).
KMPS loses 1.7 in 12+ share.

After swallowing that, ask yourself these questions:
Just like we were asking each other on Monday, did The Bears win it or did The Seahawks lose it? Did The Wolf win it or did KMPS lose this?
How can a station that has been averaging in the low 5's in ratings (again, only 12+) drop off that quickly, yet its competition didn't gain half of what it lost?

Answer those questions, please.

The only people who should get too excited is Warm. Yes, we all got our butts spanked by hours and hours of "frosty the snowman".....

Although you must admit, the wolf lifted a leg and peed a little on Frosty! KMPS, unlike our winter, just plain melted.

And-the Seahawks lost! :-\

Yes, I also throught this thread was about Gary, so I started a new one about this battle.

Though to blame Warm and it's Happy Xmas theme on Wolf's gains is a bit of a stretch. Bottom line, KMPS has now got some serious competition and this will be fun to watch.

Leading up to this book, I felt one of four stations might be the first to flip....KNDD, Jack, Kiss, and Star. I'd have to say after this book, Star might be the first station we see either tweaking their format or completely changing course. Agree or Disagree? After a long run, it might be time for Kent and Alan to step down and get some fresh blood in there. There might be a few of you that will say it'll never happen, but you guys are the same that thought Fisher and West would be around for years to come!

STAR already has a old boring airstaff... dump hot a/c and go mainstream ac after WARM...

MOViN had a great book! #2 and #3 in key demos! Congrats to Lisa on her last book with Seattle...
