EBS and EAS in Georgia

Emergency Broadcasting System and Emergency Alert System

Looking for information on the history of EBS and EAS in Georgia. What were the primary stations that were responsible for transmitting the old EBS messages? Who are the primary stations now responsible for the EAS messages? Have stations been disciplined when missing messages? Are the rules more relaxed now that we use EAS? Do you still do training at your stations on EAS messages (weather alerts/national emergencies/morgan alert messages). Looking for opinions from everyone.

Wow... many years ago, WSB-AM was primary for EBS. I've been out of the area, and the business, way too long to have any clue who's doing what in the EAS plan these days.

EAS primary is shared between WLTM-FM and WSB-FM. (WLTM is listed as State Primary, and both as national relays) Before that, it was WSB-FM exclusively.

National PEP (for Presidential interuptions) is WMAC-AM Macon
