ECHO ECHO ON ON 95.1 95.1

I know some on here have ties to that group who runs that translator/LPFM on 95.1

The operators should be informed that it has a bad echo in it. Sounds like they are getting 2 different (slight time delay) feeds but combining them, and using them at the same time.

thanks i will let them know!
Also let them know they took one of the few remaining open frequencies used for iPods and MP3 Players
I like my FM tuner, I am still able to blanket a very large portion of distance even when I am in 95.1

There is no LPFM licensed on 95.1 in the Houston area that I know of....and I havent heard of any translators coming up on that frequency (though its possible.....)

I can bet you there are more people in Houston that use FM transmitters for their handheld music players than there are listeners for K236AR-FM. Please, the rules are no Spanish, This is an English board.

Well a quick check of the FCC data base and sure enough....ALELUYA!!!! (Pun intended!) There they are licensed to Angleton and on the old KRTS tower northeast of Angleton....Barely covers half of the COL at a whopper of 41 watts ERP (exciter output into a 2 element CP antenna likely....less power than your average appliance light bulb ;).......and mrtexmex is probably correct in his assumption... what a waste of freq ;)

this board is in english.
i must say, i knew what you said (most likely as does everyone else),
but i'm going to have to agree with juan.

Please, ask the Mod. I have been warned about not writing anything in spanish, I believe Mr. Gleason has also been warned too when he writes in spanish (I think they edit the posts). You should read the terms of agreement before clicking I agree. I did after I got all those warnings from the mod.

Note on Foreign Languages

We respectfully ask you to not post in Spanish, even if what you are posting is inoffensive. This is not a ban on Spanish, we enforce this rule on all foreign languages as well as code and Cant. With that being said, this is not a warning either so please do not take it as such.

Ultimately, we are an English speaking site and posting in Spanish or in any language, code or Cant is discouraged without the proper translation. Unfortunately, these tend to be used by only a few people in the know and often, for less than honorable purposes. With that being said, phrases that are common knowledge or easily translatable within the context of the post/thread are allowable.

We value your contribution here and if you have any questions, please feel free to use our contact us link found at the top of the page. We hope that you understand our position on this. Now that the debate on Foreign Languages is over, lets get back to this thread's topic.

I heard it out in Fort Bend County today that echo sounds bad I guess they do not have a reciver to hear what they sound like what a waste of a station

Yes the realize the issue..Their working on it and it should be taken care of tommorow. Their reciver was picking up both 88.1 pasadena and 88.1 Galviston and since galviston is on a isdn Line theirs a Delay bit its getting taken care of!

So they didn't even realize the issue they had themselves? Ok, now this has officially turned into a waste of signal.
