Ed Bark on Britt Shipp

looks like nobody cares if these two powerhouse football programs are breaking the rules.

not sure why this is on a radio board.... but...
Shipp's story was worthless. I saw the video and didn't think either team broke any rules. The Daxx Garman story was great stuff... this was just reaching and trying gto find controversy where none existed.

I wouldn't say that, since any time Southlake Carroll loses a game it's big news.

I will say, however, that I think it's bad form to simply post a link without any qualifying remarks. Secondly, the reporter's name is Brett. And yes, there is a Texas TV board on this forum for subjects like this.

Say what??

Brent ... Brent ... not Britt

It was about 3 a.m., but there is no excuse for misspelling. My apologies.

The stories were overplayed -- the lead over Iraq, the economy, the Eddie Bernice Johnson scandal, the Dallas budget, etc.?

Come on.

Show biz over journalism.

More later.

Tony

JD was right.

I was wrong twice.

I'm afraid to try and spell it again.

Brett.

Maybe you could make an argument that the stories should be part of the news rather than sports.

But the lead stories. Poor judgment.

STOP! You're BOTH wrong. It's BRETT!

Yeah that's what I wrote.

Brandt. ;)

It's Brett and old timers will remember his dad Bert Shipp, longtime news director of WFAA-TV. Bert was the man to some how get into the Beatles suite at the Cabana Hotel and wrangle an interview with them when they came to town in September '64... He was one of the old time 'hard-nose' reporters and a great guy with a great sense of humor...

His kid acts like Mike Wallace Jr.
