I just got back from the wake and it was very sad and the funeral parlor was packed with his family and radio friends. His best friend got up and spoke about his life and there friendship, it was very touching. I got up too and tryed to hold back the tears but broke down when I held his RE-20 microphone which was next to his casket. It was the voice of Ed which we all heard out of our radio speakers. I had just repaired the XRL connector on it for him last week which came loose and he was so happy, I remember the smile I got from him when I told him it was fixed. I'll never forget it as long as I live. On the way to the funeral home and back I was listening to the Breeze tribute on the car radio with my wife and was crying because all the songs they played were about loosing a friend and the day the music died. Well done tribute Breeeze. I'm sure Ed heard it. I was told he died in his sleep, so no matter what troubles you have in life just be happy when you wake up everyday and see the sun. Good-bye Edwin your friend forever Tony Dee. (When you have a chance please listen to the tribute my radio partner Dave did, who worked with Ed at WCTC/WMGQ. It's on my website. Listen to some of the incredible work this man created for the radio and TV industry.) www.tonydeeradio.com
