Ed Chandler To Exit KILT-FM

"I feel like Conan O'Brien today only without the big payoff," he writes on his Facebook page. "I was informed about noon today from CBS by phone that tonight would be my last show on KILT. Although they asked for me to stay on as a part-timer, I have made the decision to move on..."

Hope he lands back on his feet someplace else soon.

Meanwhile, good to see CBS let Ed Chandler actually do a final show and say goodbye to his listeners. A class act on their part.

With that said... yet another 7 PM-midnight jock eliminated. I wonder who will be filling the void on KILT-FM... Can you say, CMT Radio?

The "NICE" part was lost by doing it over the phone.

He didn't get to do his last show. Programming made the decision late this afternoon to pull the plug. On facebook Ed says he "guessed they were afraid I might make negative comments about the station", he goes on to say he would have never done that because he is a professional first and foremost and is sad he didn't get to say goodbye to the listeners.

If they didn't give Tom Fontaine that same courtesy after being on that shift for many years, they certainly weren't going to let Ed say good bye either.
