Ed Dague

Anybody know how he's doing?

I was thinking of him while watching the movie "Bobby." Ed was hosting an all-nite music show on WPTR 40 years ago when the bulletin came in that Bobby Kennedy had been shot. That night, the Capital District (and much of the northeast, thanks to 'PTR's tremendous nitetime signal) got not only the tragic news but also a preview of the fine newsman Ed would become.

Hope he's comfortable and happy in his retirement.

Haven't heard anything about Ed since his arrest a few months back

As I understand it, the PD hotlined Ed for stopping the music to report that story and fired him the next day.
That's how Ed ended up in the news business.

He currently writes a blog.
