Ed Knight/Ed Echols from WKGN

Not sure how many remember him, but I stumbled onto a reference to Ed Knight (real name: Ed Echols) who used to work at WKGN around 1980 and maybe some other stations during the time he was a student at UTK. Ed's now doing weekend weather at WHBQ Channel 13 in Memphis under his real name. There's a blurb on him at the station's website. Ed's one of the good guys. - Bill Miller (I Am Still Suitcase Simpson)

Didn't he also do the overnight shift on Rock 104 about a year later? I seem to remember the name Ed Knight on WIMZ doing the late night/ early morning shift about 1981/1982.
