Hey Open Mic Clubbers,
Ed Schultz is coming to Madison.� You head him mention on�his show that we've been hammering out the details... Well, the details have been hammered.�Ed, Wendy and Team Fargo will be here on April 12th for a Live Show at The Barrymore Theatre.� Glass Nickle Pizza Co. is helping us pull this off.��So, keep that in mind the next time you are craving a tasty pizza or plate of pasta.� Any of their locations is a great place for a cool one and a good meal, but a number of their delivery vehicles run on recycled food oils so you can get guilt free delivery.
Tickets for the Ed Schultz Show at the Barrymore will be distributed at Mic 92.1 sponsors.� There is also a chance for you to register for reserved seating at themic921.com. Just like the Stephanie Miller and Al Franken shows at the Barrymore, ticket holders will get in first but we'll open the doors to anyone about a half hour before show time (11a on Thursday, April 12th).� A suggested donation of 5 dollars will get you a pair of tickets at the ticket stops and 100% of that donation goes to Community Action Coalition.
As soon as ticket stop locations are finalized they will be posted at themic921.com and you'll hear about them on the air.
Big Ed was a vocal supporter of The Mic when it looked like the station was heading for a format flip.��The Mic is�still Progressive Talk but, like we've done from time to time for the last two years, there will be Badger Red on the air this weekend in place of our progressive blue.� The Mic is hosting the Badger Women's Hockey broadcasts from the NCAA tournament.� They won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP on The Mic last year (maybe The Mic is their good luck charm).� We'll also carry Badger Women's Basketball at the WNIT.
