Ed Schultz takes money from labor unions

Ethical issue?
According to documents posted on the U.S. Department of Labor Web site, Schultz received $22,304 for his services - a fact picked up by J. Justin Wilson, managing director, Center for Union Facts. Those include:

* Steelworkers - "Publicity/Advertising" - $10,000
* Air Traffic Controllers - "Broadcasting Services" - $7,304
* Plumbers Local 189 - "Event" - $5,000

What is "Broadcasting Services" and "Publicity/Advertising?"

I wonder if all union members agree with this spending?

I have suspected he was a mouthpiece for a certain vested interest, i.e. Democratic special interests, the ones the president is hush-hush on.

His show used to be much more interesting and for a lefty, not as obnoxious as "Ranty" Rhodes or Stephanie "I can't do a show without bashing the Right" Miller.

I tried to give him a chance on his TV show, but the minute he out of nowhere slammed Glenn Beck, that was it.

It would be Glenn Beck or someone like him all the sudden out of context saying, "And the federal debt is bigger than Ed Schultz's crotch..."

what about the ads from Heritage Foundation, Hillsdale college, at institute etc on right wing shows, where do they get their money? big business, is that a conflict?

They have a right just as the leftist "special interests" to express their views.

It's just the disingenuousness of only singling-out the so-called conservative "special interests" whilst ignoring the Big Labor, Big Education, Big Government, Big Legal, Big Media, et. al. entrenched and powerful interests that support a certain political rookie.

I find both his radio and TV show to be informative and entertaining usually, if..big if, he does take money from a union...who cares....its not like the con-servatives dont take money, and talking points from "special interests". If you dont like him,his politics,or whatever...do what I do with all the right wing talkers, simply dont listen or watch.

"Conflict" is not the issue...

Unions-supporting-Ed or union-busters-supporting-Rush isn't a conflict, it's logical.

The real issue is what the FCC calls "sponsor identification."
Listeners/viewers deserve to know when what's-being-said paid-to-be-said.

Were I a Rush Limbaugh-affiliated licensee, I'd have some concern about this.

Sounds like fancy ways of saying that Ed Schultz made paid appearances in the same manner of Sean Hannity's 'Freedom Concerts'.
