Whew! It's like y'all lost an election or two...
The Radical Rightwing had both radio & cable TV to itself for the better part of 20 years and it helped elect an administration that ran roughshod over the economy, the constitution and the separation of powers among the three branches of government. Good work, guys!
It must be infuriating to have watched all that slip away the past few years and recognize that a burgeoning progressive side of the media--both on-air & on-line--continues to grow as a reflection of the majority of Americans who disagree with you.
Schultz has established himself as a solid talent in radio, and he'll make an excellent addition to MSNBC's lineup of outstanding progressive TV personalities.
But don't despair or try to beat up on MSNBC too much. It is still a sign of NBC's caution that they continue to feature rightwinger Joe Scarborough every morning. Joe was my congressman down in Florida years ago, and I'll testify that there is no mistaking him as a liberal.
In fact, if you all were thinking clearly, you'd be pushing "Morning Joe" to run for president in 2012. He's far and away your best bet.
