Ed Schultz town hall in Pgh

Ed Schultz just announced on his show that he will be in town for one of his town hall appearances in October. Anyone know if he is getting a local affiliate?

I am amazed that Pittsburgh does not support a progressive radio station. This posting is not meant to be a philosophical comment. I look at the city's diversity and I am very surprised. Folks like Ed schultz, Stephanie Miller and Bill Press should fit quite well.

According to his website he's on 1370 in Wheeling, but that's a close as he gets right now, unless something is in the works. There have been some rumors about KD being 100% syndicated fare after 1/1, so who knows?

Big Ed's web site must be out dated...he hasn't been on 1370 WVLY for a long time, unless he's on tape delayed at night. WVLy's daytime line up as I recall is
7-10am Howard Monroe
10-Noon WV Statewide talk
Noon-1pm Local Talk with Scott Shalloway
1-4pm Dennis Miller
4-6pm Bill O'Reilly

Big Ed would fit well on 1600 WKKX the other local talk station in Wheeling.

Can't see that, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see them dump Steigerwald's train wreck and pull something off the satellite for that slot.

Has anyone heard anything more about Ed Schultz's appearance in Pgh this Tuesday, Oct 28th. He keeps mentioning it on the show, but doesn't give any details, nor does his website. He says he will be discussing union issues. I would like to attend if anyone has the info.

Maybe it's not a public event? If so it would be strange for him to mention it, but he has no station here, so there's got to be some other sponsor.

Maybe he's establishing, or trying to establish a foothold here. Could be that his web hits are telling him that he's got some people from around here listening.

I will admit... maybe.. JUST maybe he is getting some overnight airplay some where near Pgh. or did he walk out on that also?
