Ed just can't let it go. All he had for all these years was KWOD and being the station's owner. He's always been listed as the owner of the old KROQ-AM in Southern California but never could get a CP for a new Transmitter sight, or should I say that no one would let him build the sight, so KWOD was it. Without the station, what does he do? I think he should just take the money from Entercom and invest in some smaller markets. Better yet, just retire!

Re: Ed Stolz...The legal proceedings!

Chris Kidd replies:

To fully evaluate this case one must know what the pending issues are and what courts they are in. The Billboard article is not clear. Is it pending before a California Appellate Court or the US Court of Appeals?

The California Appellate Court only considers what legal proceedings were denied the petitioner (if any). The merits of the case are secondary.

Does anyone know if the Appellate Court has rendered a decision and if so, are they able to provide a link to the written decision?

If it is at the US Court of Appeals, that is even more narrow. The only issues to be considered are if the Commission violated any of its own rules.

So if the FCC violated its own rule, the decision would be vacated and remanded back to the Commission for further action!

We all know that this transfer of KWOD was against the will of Ed Stoltz. That being the case, why was the transfer from Royce to Enterom filed as voluntary and not involuntary?

Again the merits of the case such who deserved what (or who cheated who) are irrelevant.

Anyway I should have been an attorney......Ed that will be a $ 50,000.00 retainer against $ 350.00 and hour!
