Looks like after on-air positions at WRZX, WNOU, WLHK & WIBC, Ed Wenk has left the Indy airwaves to go into sales.

I was hoping that they'd put Dana on live in his place, but best I could tell, that didn't happen.

I believe Dana does her show between 11a and 2p edt, making it impossible to air live in the afternoon, unless she did an Indy version too. Besides, her format woudn't mesh with the constant afternoon weather and traffic updates, not to mention all the mortgage refinance, house painting, low testosterone, heating and air, and clogged plumbing spots.

Sounds like one of the WIBC news people is now filling the slot.

The 97.1 Talk site shows her on from Noon-3PM Central or 1-4PM EDT. Either way, it wouldn't play live in the 4-6PM slot. And as stated, the loss in Low T revenue would be staggering.

I could only stand a half-hour of Indy's Afternoon News today before I bailed. If that show gets any flatter, you'll be able to play billiards on it!

A once great station struggling to survive and remain relevant.

Note to WIBC: Ray Steele is not the answer. He was beyond bland while filling in for Steve Simpson a few weeks ago in the morning, and doesn't have the depth of knowledge or humor to work as a host. Just letting you know, in case you were trying to ignore it.

They need to look outside of Emmis and maybe even outside of Indy. I don't think there is anyone there that can do it. They also need to fix that morning show.
