What's sad is that other than Piazza's complaints about the content of the Boneyard (I agree with him that Joan Jett has no business being on a heavy metal channel), his comments on XM were overwhelmingly positive.
Although it's unfortunate that Trunk is out of a job (although his plate seems to be otherwise full with his other gigs), it may be for the best. Trunk was never treated particularly well by XM. Last year, while the New York studios were being renovated for Opie and Anthony, Trunk was forced off the air for several weeks. He also complained about the cramped studio facilities several times, and the phones were a joke (sometimes the callers couldn't hear Eddie, if memory serves). Also, the "music-on-hold" was an advertisement for Opie and Anthony. Perhaps his on-air complaints about the facilities were the real reason for his dismissal and Logan was just looking for an excuse. Trunk's account of his dismissal, however, makes Logan look like a loose cannon, and perhaps I am giving him too much credit and he is not that calculating.
By the way, I'm not the biggest Trunk fan, but I've been listening to him on and off for over ten years dating back to his WDHA days.
