... and was summarily removed from KDGE.com, as well... right now, there's a hole in the line-up.

Ooooooooo! Ooooooooo! Ooooooooo! Maybe they'll bring in Sebastion Bach to do mornings!
(that's the trend, right? 80's-hair-band-lead-singer-as-host?)

Seriously, though, I think this one slipped by a lot of us unseen. Any news on what they plan to fill the slot with?

Bob and Tom ;)

Not being privy to ratings - had they slipped that badly? My general impression was that Jagger was well liked and had decent ratings. No?

No is right. Typicall CC, plans to "improve" a program undercut it. Any change leads to channel surfing. Pure and simple.
Summer Book was brutal A18-49, which should be the stronghold for Alternative (with a young skew) Tied for #13 M-#10, W-#15. i.e. a nonfactor.

Both Spring and Fall were better, but still outside the Top 5 for English Language stations. In the Fall book the ratings impoved for that demo after morning drive. all bad signs. Especially if somebody wants you gone.

You'd think if they were going to make a move, they'd have timed it to meet Sterns departure.

timing...

Maybe they wanted to wait a coupla weeks to see how bad Mr. Roth really was... Now that they know, they could play 4 hours of canine flatulence in the morning and probably draw a bigger audience than Cubic Zirconium Dave...

... of course, I hope I didn't just blow the suprise for the new KDGE morning show...<P ID="signature">______________

sorry, here's the real text

The guys were on the air this morning and must have been told after their shift. It's all music for the next two weeks until the new team starts. And I’m guessing they’ve got the new team hired if they’re telling us a specific start date.

"Up next, Pooch Poots on the new morning EDGE".....Ummmmm, I don't think I want to see that billboard ad (LOL).

Morning Edge

I liked Jagger. He has a got, good presence on the air but, once they move Julie to Mix the show was dead in the water. It just wasn't entertaining anymore.

Really? You mean I didn't punish them enough the last time they were here?

Well, I've got my work cut out for me then...

Hopefully CC has someone better in mind than Lex and Terry. I mean what are they trying to do, kill off the last rock station in Dallas? What is the new "hot" format that we can look forward to?

It looks like 'ol Jeff decided he wasn't ready for the backlash after that dumb-ass remark about Lisa Thomas and Russ Martin. He pulled it off the board. It's probably the first time these two have been mentioned together ever! Actually, it's pretty funny. Maybe Russ can call her on the MIX request line and ask her out.

I don't see them changing formats, I can see them re-naming the station if it happens.
