EDM FM TX Delivery Times?

Hi Folks:

I was wondering about how long did it take for your EDM "kit" to arrive after placing the order?

I ask because I'd like to take one with me on vacation but time may be tight for it to arrive.

Looks like a nice little unit to play music around the hotel with an antenna set up on the second floor balcony overlooking the beach.

Thanks Carl. They seemed to be excellent in their email response time, so I ordered one.

Took about 3-4 days for me.

A few tips for when you get it:

Have a soldering iron ready.

When you get the "kit" you have to put in the display chips, the main chip (Make sure you don't put it in backwards. I put mine in backwards the first time around and it didn't work. Then I noticed something smelled like it was burning and sure enough it was in wrong) Those don't require any tools. You just stick them in.

However you will need a soldering iron for the thing that connects the power supply to the main board.. It was not very easy. The first time I did it I messed up and melted the solder wrong. So I had to go the local electronic parts store and buy another and do it all over.

The 10mw unit should get you about 2-3 city residentual neighboorhood blocks with the antenna that comes with it. You can go farther if you use a better antenna setup and grounding. Ramsey FM10's range was better. However the sound quality and stable no drift operation beats the crap out of Ramsey.

100mw unit can go about a mile with the antenna that comes with it. <P ID="signature">______________
