Yall' have to check out this net-only station: http://www.eggradio.com It is pretty much an "alternative classics"-based station (why won't any of these cool, accessible-for-the-mainstream net stations play a good selection of currents!!???), but it is a very diverse playlist. Reminiscent of the legendary REV 105//MINNEAPOLIS minus the currents. Example: "Let it Be" into Franz Ferdinand into Frank Sinatra into U2. They're also not afraid to slip in a little underground hip-hop or dance, too.

Note, in the message, the exact text was, "accessible for the mainstream." And it's one thing to offer a service to everyone by plugging yourself once like the guy from Radio X. But to do so repeadedly over a number of years just lacks class and self-restraint.
