EL ZOL 98.3 TO 95.7

Hey Guys:

Would anybody know the exact date that EL ZOL went from 98.3 to 95.7 in 1990 when the agreement both stations had was terminated?
Was it May or June?

Thanks
T.J.

I can tell you that I was at WAIL 95.5 in Key West. When 95.7 WXDJ went on the air the paid us to relocate to 99.5 around 1986 or so.

Presidents Day, 1990,Smooth Jazz 95.7 The Breeze moved to 98.3 (jockless, and at first with no announcements, a few weeks later it became "Whisper 98"), and Radio Ritmo moved from 98.3 to 95.7.

The arrangement was unique in that, every day, from (I forget but I think it was 1am-5am), the stations would return to their original frequencies...So you had Ritmo on 98.3, and the Smooth Jazz on 95.7.

By May 1990, Whisper 98 was leased out to a group that started Radio El Zol on 98.3, but, again, the frequencies would swap at 1am (or was it 2am? I can't remember)...So El Zol was on 95.7-only on overnights-by Spring of '90.

The agreement terminated at midnight on Presidents' Day 1992, and shortly thereafter, Radio El Zol shortened its' name to "El Zol 95", with a hipper presentation.
