Election night coverage

Was presently surprised that in spite of the blood letting (cuts in resources and news personal at ClearChannel), that WFLA -970 Tampa had election night coverage on Tuesday, the 29th of January.

"Ted Webb" and Jack Harris were the pundits along with a political expert from U.S.F.

I did end up listening to XM's POTUS (President Of The US) channel 130 as they had less banter and more experts and more frequent vote counts. They also interviewed the heads of both the Democratic Party and
Republican parties of Florida, as well as interviewing Govenor Crist, and both Florida senators.

In addition to the presidental primary results, they covered and kept up with the vote count on Amendment One; most of the broadcast originated from Miami.

I believe Schnitt was also on an extra hour from 6-7 pm. I'm not sure if it was local only or a Tampa/Miami deal, but hey, at least they didn't play some syndicated show from hours earlier!

I don't know about the 6 o'clock hour either, I had the tv on and then at 7 o'clock turned the radio on and it was a nice surprise to hear WFLA 970 covering the elction as opposed to have a syndicated show or a replay of a syndicated show on. It's to their credit, that said, I still think the XM coverage for amendment one and the presidential primaries was more comprehensive, now of course for local races (i.e. Clearwater mayor); WFLA had the edge there, since XM did not cover that, but not living in or adjacent to Clearwater, that race didn't really interrest me.
