Election Night (no coverage on WNOX)

Yet another bad move; NewsTalk 98.7 has Hal, Dave and reporters on live with election results, interviews & talk. 100.3, is running canned Neil Boortz replay. I know 'NOX doesn't have reporters yet, but they should have had someone on live. (past Ed & Bob's bedtime :)
 
They've been on the air for less than five days.

Give them some slack.
 
So much for serving even half of its coverage area. 98.7 didn't have anyone reporting from the Morgan County Farm Co-op and Makeshift Election Center/Livestock Judging Pavilion. WECO continues to defend its dominance there.
 
WATE had it live and they did a very good job. BIG Blond was running a talk group and Lori was at the desk while Gene was in Nashville.

On FB Dave Foulk did a really good job with the election.

The Big Bopper is on the road this week, so I missed the election entirely.
I can only speculate that Burchett and Haslam won their races, McMillan beat Mullins in the Outsider vs. the Insider school board competition, Finbarr got upset in Sequoyah hills and Shurf White won in Anderson County. I also assume the incumbent sheriff in Claiborne County won.

Anytiime election returns are so predictable that they could have been pre-recorded, election returns are irrelevant. What is wrong with so much of broadcasting today?...too much is predictable and irrelevant. I suppose the forces for change at 100.3 realize that. (Who in heck started THIS post, BTW?)

I go back to REAL RADIO DAYS - when you take over a station, and try to WIN fans and show you care, and you get plenty of time to know exactly when the Primary is, you find a way to
have some human tell listener(s) what is going on, even if its every 15 minutes for one minute.

I don't get reverse radio flips and changes. You get better only AFTER you have lost your chance to gain a listener?...BS.
