Electric 94.9 translator on 95.3

Here's one to get yuns all worked up: Why does Electric need a translator on 95.3? It already bleeds over the whole band on all my receivers from 94.9. The format is crappy anymore anyway. If I'm correct and still in the know, The 100,000 watt stick is still on Greene Mtn in Greene County if they havnt moved it. Surely five states can here that. When it was WOFM in 1980, the Metcalfs bragged it was highest elevation in NE Tn. Guess I'm getting old. I would rather listen to the oldies. Lets see who's goat that gets. Like a slogan presently used by management at work....: "WITHOUT DATA, YOU'RE JUST ANOTHER PERSON WITH AN OPINION"....I thought Data was on Star Trek TNG....Hmmmm..

I also noticed there is a translator now for 105.7 The Hog on 101.9 in Crossville. I guess the hilly terrain causes some spotty coverage in certain areas.

Odd too that the Hog's translator at 101.9 is only a few miles northeast of their main tower -- 101.9 is just north of Ozone Falls and 105.7 is on Renegade Mtn near Crab Orchard. I've picked up the translator in Hardin Valley (NW Knox County) as clear as 105.7. Just the right terrain, etc. I assume.

Electric 94.9 is also on a translator at 98.9 in Morristown, which is very well covered by their main signal.

Guess these owners just don't know else to put on these translators. Seems local AM stations would want them.

yeah, I would like to hear WCRK on a translator after they drop power. WKPT in Kingsport has a translator at 97.7 but I can omly hear it in the North part of town. 94.3 doesnt do well on the west end of G'ville. The WCRK online signal doesnt always work well on my old computer. The Tune In app works on my phone but I have to be at home with my wi-fi to not run up data charges. I certainly would boost listenership of the AM's..

WCRK currently has an application to move a translator to Morristown from Tazewell.
