Elenos transmitters and power supplies

I have four Elenos ETG5000 transmitters. Three are trouble-free, one likes to eat power supplies. At this time, the "Power Supply Eater" is at it again. Have any of you tried repairing one of these? In addition to the bad ps in the unit, I have another one that has died that I can hopefully use as a spare.

Any comments/suggestions?

(I sure miss The Virtual Engineer")

I have no experience repairing the PSU's but I am pretty sure they are Elenos own design rather than bought in from the likes of GE or Meanwell. Designing your own PSU has its advantages (greater efficiency at operating power for example) but is a pain when it comes to maintenance/repair. At least with a Meanwell you can go to Mouser etc and they don't cost too much and will still be available in 5 years time. Not what you wanted to hear I know. I think all you could do is check the input fuse and any MOV devices. Anything beyond that and it is better to go back to Elenos unless you like loud bangs.
