ELI & STAN OUT AT WZNN 97-3 "THE ZONE"

Just heard from a reliable source that this morning is the last for Eli Gold and Stan White on Cox's WZNN 97-3 "The Zone." Originally they were to stay until the end of the month, but apparently that was moved up. More changes are possibly coming as well.

How is the Zone doing ratings-wise? Are they making any waves against Jox?

Overall, 97.3 the Zone's 12+ numbers are down 14% compared to the last days of 97.3 the Buck.

Eli and Stan are still posted on the station's website.

I Had high hopes for this station when it debuted, but IMO, it's been a disappointment. None of the station's programming is truly compelling---and it's not that I'm enamored with WJOX, either.

Wait a minute -- down from the ratings of The Buck?

In radio math, I'm pretty sure nothing from nothing equals ... a format change.

Despite rumors and speculation, Finebaum is still on WJOX.

The problem with a possible format change for WZNN is, where would they go, aside from maybe moving WAGG and their urban gospel format to FM? And isn't urban gospel adequately covered with the 105.1?

BTW---The morning show this A.M. was hosted by Matt Coulter. Not sure who was hosting his regular 12:00-3:00 show, though.
