Elizabeth Yates gone from WEBE 108

Looked at their website and it looks like Elizabeth Yates and "Love Notes" is now history. John Tesh is now on from 7p-5a.

Looks like Hansen has decided to take WEBE 108 into the crap bin again!

Unfortunately I don't think Yates was pulling the numbers everybody hoped for. It could also been a decision made in Atlanta once they got the numbers, so Curt shouldn't necessarily be blamed for it. I do feel bad for her but that's the risk you take with any job.

It took a long time for people to realize that Elizabeth Yates and Delilah had swapped stations. I know Elizabeth routinely got better numbers at STAR999, while Delilah, many times lost the love songs battle at WEBE. If WEBE was attempting to capture some of Elizabeths audience with her addition, they marketed the change poorly. The average listener just hears a female voice, and rarely makes a name connection with shows as similar as these 2. Thats too bad, I've always liked her show. I met her at a family day at wilton high school, and she just came off as a sincerly warm person.

My choice of words about Mr. Hansen were bad; but now that I look in hindsight, this was a chance he was willing to take. For that, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. But corporate in Atlanta strikes and always seems to have the final say. It's no wonder many on the left politically complain about corporate influence in radio and how it's done out of state in some far off land. Then again, if the numbers aren't there, the decision had to be made.
