There might be a chance Elle may succeed the midday shift alone. I say that because of the track record she's developed through "The Kitchen Sink" on Gospel Music Channel. On that show, I have to say it's an outstanding presentation style with the live performances, interviews, the latest gospel music news, a mini-video countdown called "Top Spins" which highlights the best video in each sub-genre, and then there is the "Hometown Music Makers" segment where a wannabe artist has shot a video of himself or herself, sent the video in, and they pick the video from a list (if any others are sent in). Other rules apply. You can go to
http://www.gospelmusicchannel.com/video_submission for more information on "Hometown Music Makers". Of course, Gospel Music Channel is not currently airing new episodes of "The Kitchen Sink" thus they're airing "The Kitchen Sink: Performances" in it's place. As for V-103, they play urban CHR 7 Days a Week with the exception of "Sunday Morning Praise" with Larry Tinsley every Sunday morning 6AM-12PM (12 Noon). I usually listen to that program once a month, and that's the only time you'll ever catch me listening to V-103. I'm aware this isn't about the music or other DJs at V-103. But before I let anyone return back to the subject, I noticed weekdays on the playlist log at
http://www.yes.com/#WVEE that at the conclusion of "The Frank & Wanda Morning Show", they do indeed play an urban gospel tune. Has any regular listeners noticed that? Of course, in urban CHR 2 artists have contributed to gospel, Alicia Keys (through a Christmas song called "Little Drummer Girl") & John Legend. There is rumor that Beyonce has contributed through a song on "The Fighting Temptations" soundtrack, but the rumor is unconfirmed. Anthony Hamilton, a one-time duet partner to J. Moss, is also in the rotation. If the strictly gospel (non-mainstream) audience kept stuff like that in mind, this might increase the audience in the midday shift for Elle. I now listen to urban gospel on Monday mornings. Even though this is urban CHR, there is a chance it may still fit in with what I listen to. I'll probably be listening the 1st 2 hours from 10AM-12PM (12 Noon). Carry on. Thank you.
