WILK. They are the best local election coverage station in the area. Too bad WARM doesn't cover the local elections anymore since they are sooooooooo messed up.

Please...are they going with Kevin and Nancy tonight? What movie did Jack Nicholson have a line in, it went something like, "I'd rather put needles in my eyes"? Nancy is in over her head always, and Kevin is just an ultra-liberal angry old man. Of course the only difference between Kevin and me is he's a lot older! HA! Well, that and the liberal thing.

Anyway, I'm going with WYOU. It's always the funniest.

ps
One l in election

Cannot disagree with you more. Both Kevin and Nancy are
extremely entertaining and knowledgable. Plus, Lynn's positions
are more conservative libertarian than liberal. Sue Henry did
the night time LEKSHUN wrap up and was very good. How good was
it? Got me to put my girl Geena Davis on the VCR to tune in.

David, David, David... we were listening to the same station? It's nice to be opinionated, but you also have to be likeable. Nancy & Kevin have to be among the least likeable people on local radio. As for election night, Sue should have been better at covering up her glee and disgust in certain races. Unfortunately, WILK gets a lot of its audience by default. Does anyone in the metro do news anymore?
Edited by NigelWick on 11/10/05 02:49 PM.

Yes we were listening to the same station.
I like Kevin and Nancy, they're supposed to be like
that. They're like the cool kids you knew in school.
And I guess I'm immune to Sue's (uh objectivity)after
the 2004 Presidential race and Red Sox triumph. Her
glee is no worse than her predecessor's demagoguery
on issues like the arena.
And the answer to your final question is no with a
qualifier, "no, not the way we knew it when we grew
up with WARM's Jack Doniger and Jerry Heller, WILK's
David DeCosmo and Kevin Jordan, WGBI's Tom Powell,
WBRE Radio's Bill Graham and WBAX's David Kush and
Maddie Fitzgerald.

They're SUPPOSED to be like that? I'll give you a dollar for every minute they can be any other way. They're not supposed to BE like that. They ARE like that. And the way they are is 180 degrees opposite the cool kids I knew in school. Where I went to school they would have been the a _ _ holes who luckily had each other to hang around with or they'd be awful lonesome.

Kevin? I wish I had a nickel for every trite expression that tumbles out of his mouth, starting with "whose ox is getting gored". And Nancy? She's got Barney Fife Syndrome. She's the boss and everything she says has hidden just below the surface, "Lemme see if I got my bullet Ang."

And I can tell all THAT just from their daily show promo!

When remembering those "we grew up with," don't forget
WBAX's Paul Ciotta, WEJL's Rich Mates, WILK's Pat Ward (who gained national attention for the George Banks "false broadcast), WAZL's Paul Cerula, Jim Boyle, L.A. Tarone, Rich Saullo and, of late, Pat Ward. The latter was the first to be flushed in the failed Route 81 attempt to return local radio to its roots.

Thank you for updating my list. All were fantastic
news people. And if the opportunity and financing presented
itself today.......they'd be back, not missing a beat.
