Ellen Rockwell Gone From Crush?

More changes...This was a rumor last week and it looks like Ellen is gone from Crush, her name is gone from the web site. Has she gone back into "retirement" from radio? I don't know of the relationship between her and Terry O'Donnell. And if she is gone, which I think is apparent, then perhaps it's torn. Her name was one I didn't want to see gone. Sucks. I really enjoyed her show, albeit VTed. Will she go to Kiss? Is she done? According to the web site, Darwin, formerly of Talk 1300 and ABC, has taking over the reigns at 3-7 effective today.

UPDATE: Could it be? I'm now hearing the reason why Ellen was let go was to make way for the New Morning Show...Which involves Brian and Chrissy! Rumor or truth???
 
Reporter it's sad to see ellen go:( I Think changes will happen slowly when they do people will come and go. I wouldn't be surprised if brian and chrissy followed terry to town square media because they also have good connections with dan austin. I am now wondering if they will get rid of some of the air personality's and at the very end change the format to CHR Top 40 to go head to head with fly 92 and B95.5 will go head to head with WRVE clear channel.

Who's next to go I wonder will they let go one by one and fill them as they go having darwin cover the air shift

Darwin is just a fill in he is not going to be permaneant on-air he is the digital program director at TSM.

You will see changes I know TSM just revamped there whole sales team so they will do what's necessary to boost there ratings.

out with the old in with the new that's terry's and dan's objective it seems, terry replaced mike morgan on fly 92 in 2004 and mike morgan decided to go over to adirondack broadcasting , so ellen wasn't happy I think because she was good friends with Mike Morgan and she doesn't get along with Terry, it be interesting to see where Darcy, Sugar Bear and Mark and Meredith go , something tells me they will slowly re-organize one personality at a time. I think the reason Mike morgan went to adirondack was because of Dan Austin being VP/General Manager of ABC in 2004.

simply I think that ellen will go back in retirement maybe even sugar bear but where will darcy go ? and where would Mark & Meredith go if TSM got rid of them and brang in Brian and Chrissy which could be the case, but will ABC use Suzy and Bob for the fly morning rush.

Fly 92 will be screwed if they lose there morning show which keeps them afloat
 
I beleive Ellen left on her own before the changes come. Mike Morgan did what he needed to do to get the station on the map after the 104.5 flip and other changes that didn't do well. He did that but it was a short term solution, now they need to make it part of the every day experience. And this all started from the changes at the top with Townsquare aquiring Double O and Mellinuem the managment structure changed, first with the local Gm Retiring, then putting people that have no personal connection with any one there in the chairs to swing the axe and move in their own. Their have been changes and more to come. The people that are there from the old team in the building are walking on eggs. No one is safe, From sales, marketing, even the big gun Wgna there will be more changes. These guys are about the $ and not radio as it once was, that is what they were sent their to do.
 
Staff Changes Begin At WQSH according to all access, see articale yesterday. Makes it sound like there will be more.
 
you betcha there bug when Terry and Dan are together in one building there will be plenty of changes happening from now until the new year.

Crush FM will be converted slowly
 
Albany can support a second Rhythmic or Urban... with WKKF going towards a more Mainstream/Adult direction for the past year or so, WQSH could easily fill the void for a second Rhythmic :)
 
I totally agree danikayser84 i think jamz needs some competition in this market and there ratings are yup if crush fm coverts into rhythmic top 40 there goes the neighbor hood if i was TSM and manager that's what i would do, but something terry won't go that direction he might want another CHR TOP 40 therefore 3 top 40 stations and 3 rock stations man gotta love this crazy market decisions decisions.
 
Fly 92 could be in deep water if they do not find a good enough program director there ratings could drop if we see Crush Covert to Top 40 CHR and brian and chrissy going to TSM.

Marissa would be working double time and she is wanting the PD Job but can she handle it is the trouble, would chuck B give her the position? .

maybe TSM plans to stop fly 92 plans to regroup
 
for all we know this plan by Dan Austin taking over as GM at TSM was in the works as soon as Ausfeld stepped down and Terry coming over and leaving ABC as well, a plan far created a year before or so but with or without the logisitics?.

Unless Crush Top 40 and offers a considerable $$$$ for Brian and Chrissy, they are not going...Who's next to go at Crush? Sugar Bear? Darcy? Neither, Both!?
 
Reporter if they got terry I am sure they will find a way to get rid of mark and meredith and bring in brian and chrissy. Terry is blinded without a good morning show. anyone could be next process of elimination.
