>>Do you work for the competition? Too many negative comments...GIVE IT TIME...Or call at 309-1057!<<

Wow, nice welcome to the board. I thought this was about being honest. Do you work for Crush or FLY? My comments are merely based in fact....the same songs are being played over and over again. I'm not the only one who is saying it. Secondly, while voicetracking is the truth in radio, I find it upsetting. But if we have to have it, let's at least admit that it's a talent and not everyone is cut out for it. To hire people who haven't even been on the air since the inception of voicetracking is a high risk. You're assuming that just because someone was a good jock five years ago, that they'll be a good voicetracker now. Those two things are not the same, not by a longshot. I hear people who suck at it and I hear people who are good at it.
Why would you be so upset at factual comments unless you work for Crush or at the very least are close friends with the people who are or will be working there. And if that's true, that's cool....but just say, they're my friends, I think they'll do well.
I don't know the people working at Crush, I don't work for any competition. I'm merely giving an opinion based on the facts.
All you can do is sing the praises of a station that hasn't even been on the air a month yet. Perhaps you should be the one giving it time.

I agree with OLRadio. Voicetracking is not for everyone. Some are so good at it that you cannot tell the difference. In the bad instances I hear the same canned requests and callers every two-three weeks.

In fact, even alot of the "live" full time jocks these days are actually voicetracked half of their shift so that they can do other tasks such as producing spots for another station, doing the imaging, sending copy to the voice guy, updating the website, loading the weekend countdown show, and much more. In alot of cases, being an actual "disc jockey" these days has a much different job description.

I give the station 2 years minimum before flipping again.

OLradio, I do not work for either. People are already bashing. Give it time is all I'm saying. We're both passionate. Cool. If it's not working after 1 year, switch something up. Regardles if it's vt or Live, it'll be fine.

BTW, I'm a live DJ fan. But if vt'ing, oh well...
