About 2 weeks later, the Seattle stations were Synd'Exed out and moved into the upper 20s. They would later go back to the start of the lineup, around 1993 or 1994. KAPP would move to 8 and stayed there for several years. The "41" was a translator for KAYU serving Yakima (translator of K53CY), which became its own station several weeks later (semi-satellite). I have a VHS recording of the Camarena Story/Drug Wars, an NBC miniseries from the following week. It was one of the last NBC primetime programs Ellensburg folks could see on KING 5. Within days, they were blacked out, and you were required to watch KNDO.
I think 'Shop TV' was QVC. Ch 2 was Ellensburg Community Television, carrying Learning Channel part of the time, along with CWU and Ellensburg events.
Ellensburg did not get TNT until June of 1992, relatively late for a 36-channel cable lineup. Another major omission was AMC, not carried until 2000, the tail end of their commercial-free (to the most part) days; same with The Weather Channel.

Many years ago, the Ellensburg translators were located above channel 70, except for KYVE-69. Channel 71 was KIMA, channel 74 was KNDO, and channel 81 was KAPP. All of them moved down to lower channels around 1984-1986. Also, to the west, there were 10-watt VHF translators located on or near Peoh Point, above Cle Elum. They carried KING, KOMO, and KIRO on ch 2, 10, and 12 respectfully. They are long, long gone. Operated by the "Upper County TV Translator Corp.". Most people in Cle Elum have had cable for decades regardless. It's in a bowl for radio, very little gets through except Ellensburg FMs.
The last bit was thanks to the Television Factbooks available on WorldRadioHistory.com.
