Elliot on WOR

Elliot was not a good move in morings on WOR in the last 6 months or so since I have to bump this thread. And look happened a few months later, Elliot is now on WBWZ's "Rock 93.3" in New Paltz where he is now carrying his show from Washington, DC after WOR's failure. If you want to listen to Elliot doing mornings now, you should listen to "Rock 93.3" on iHeartRadio or steaming it at:

Running Elliot's show on WOR was bizarre. I wonder if anyone from Clear Channel and WOR actually listened to his show on WWDC BEFORE it aired on WOR? That had to be the programming mismatch of the decade. Elliot doing a show aimed at 18-34 men with a rock edge followed by Rush and Sean. I would imagine the station was getting so much negative reaction they had no choice but to drop it after a month, and I would think the show was probably trending to below a 1 share toward the end, if not below a .1.

CC is completely out of touch where WOR is concerned.

This morning I was listening online to Mark Simone and was struck by the Tom Brokaw "American Story" feature where this the old man kvetches about Apple* changing the power cord on the iPhone 5! This on the eve of the release of the iPhone 6.

If WOR is to appeal to young to middle-age adults it won't be helped by potty-mouths like Elliot and features like the "TV Top Ten" delivered by a gushing out-of-control teenage girl, nor with relics of the past like Brokaw and Arthur Frommer.

Come on, CC. Hire some solid radio talent and be done with it.

*He didn't mention the company by name.

I would lump Simone into that group too. He is unlistenable with his Dinald Trump and Regis guests and talk of the Friars Club!

Can't disagree. I enjoy Simone but I can't take his lineup of guests -- Dick Cavett et al. Why does he do that?
