Ellis rides again!

Good for Ellis!! Now he doesn't have to move to Omaha just to do what he loves. 8)

I can see him on air at Sunny, or Mix, even XL106.7. Why Z88? No slam against Ellis, but isn't working at Z88.3 a bit of a waste of his talent?

I don't mean to sound harsh, but how is going to work for the third most listened-to station in Orlando a waste of his talent?

We are thrilled to have Ellis joining the Z staff.

In this day and age of downsizing...if you have the opportunity to do something you like and be part of the craft you have honed...it is fantastic if you can find "live" opportunities in a market you like with a decent company. I have only heard (and pardon the pun) positives about Z and it's crew!

Yeah, why would Ellis want to join a station that provides inspirational, positive uplifting music that is touching hearts and changing lives. Why would he want to work at a radio station whose listeners pledge their support to hear programming they WANT to hear. Why would he want to work at a station whose mission is beyond $$$'s other than to operate the station and improve it. Yeah, he would be much better off working for Clear Channel (or whatever they are/will be called), CBS...note there's a BS at the end of their name or...wait a minute, he's already rode the Cox radio pony.

Sorry to those who would rather hear Soulja Boy than a song that will touch your SOUL!

Congrats Ellis and Z 88.3...he will be working for a station where he can grow his talent and that has PLENTY of eager listeners who loudly and proudly show support for their radio station...gee, I think I have seen more than just a few Z 88.3 bumper stickers around O-Town. I hardly think all those people are a "waste" of audience. Glad to see him make such a POSITIVE move!

Count me in..i'll be listening!
Big K

Agree, great move. but to whom ever posted Ellis should be doing mornings at XL 1067,
haven't you heard the brilliance of the Johnny and Jayde show? I mean, heart and soul.
And they really talk about things that affect people , say 17 or so. we heard jayde say her
" bucketlist: was to smash through a parking lot barrier drunk and be arrested ' how the heck
could Ellis top that? Ellis, this was your calling, and it put more than a few of us at peace.
God stepped in and helped more than you . But you are about to enter a journey, that can change lives.
Embrace it. And everybody is rooting for you to be the best.
although, on your first day, god will walk in and say, " now what did you do wrong, and what did you
do right" then suck his teeth.

I want to extend a congrats to Ellis. I ran into him a few times in the halls when I was working for COX.. He is a down to earth individual. Very personable. He is a class act and I only wish him the best!!!!

I'm sure that Ellis could have seen the same thing, but were these stations hiring? Apparently not. (well ....maybe Sunny).

Seriously Ellis....is a true professional, and I am happy that he went to a quality station, plus I am honored to have worked with Ellis. You rarely see any of the jocks having fun anymore, and Ellis always made the job fun.

::) Had figured The Bruce would be on the radio again in Orlando. And with Sunny starting up, thought that would have been a good fit for him. Z88.3, have listened a few times, knowing Ellis from the past - think other channels would have been better fit for him. Even Talk Radio would have been great for him. But I wish him well, Good Luck to keep the fire going in Orlando.

Later Gator
