Elma Greer

Sorry to report that Elma Greer, longtime music librarian at KSFO and Country music editor and co/owner of the Gavin Report has passed away. As of today, Wednesday morning, I know of no details as to funeral or memorial services. She was a classy lady who had a profound impact on my career beginning in the mid-sixties when I interned at KSFO. I was thrilled to have worked beside her for many years from the late 70s to the mid nineties.

A Lovely Lady...A TRUE LADY! She was the official Den Mother of 560 KSFO. Talented, Sweet, Gracious... OH, and the best Legs in the Business.
I worked with Elma at the Worlds Greatest Radio Station from 73' till she left to do Gavin. I will miss her, as will many of her KSFO Cub Scouts.
You are in my prayers Miss.

I guess you'd have to say I came late to the Elma Greer admiration party. My first exposure to her class and grace was when she and Lisa Smith handled the Country charts for Gavin.

She was very gracious and always helpful, even to this wet-behind-the-ears programmer (at that time).

I too, will remember her fondly.

The world needs more people like Elma Greer.
