Being that Memphis was Elvis' home do you think Memphis radio plays more Elvis music than you might hear in other parts of the country?

Just wondering as I sit her listening to my rather large collection of Elvis hits.

Well, certainly they do on Elvis Radio on Sirius 13. It originates here in Memphis at Graceland, if y'all didn't know. Fortunately, at last checking, they DO NOT require the Memphis air staff to wear fake sideburns.

And, the burning question remains... just how many versions of Polk Salad Annie do they have?!

Plus, I doubt you'll find the Elvis Hour anywhere else than Kix and Sirius.

Other than Elvis radio and the GK Elvis hour, I haven't ever noticed the other stations particularly going out of their way to play EP. The last oldies station in town, in their 200-or-tighter playlist, didn't include any more than 2 or 3 Elvis titles.
Loose estimates are that Elvis recorded between 800 and 1100 songs. The Sirius Elvis station has more than 2500 songs in the system, including live and outtake versions.

Wasn't their some sort of brouha several years ago when 56 WHBQ banned Elvis from their oldies format? Incidently on the Elvis miniseries last year they had a close up of a radio that was playing an Elvis song. The radio dial was set around 560. I guess the producers did their homework.
