WOO HOO Maybe they'll get it and we won't have to waste so much screen space on their next rumored surfacing!!!!

Or they'll just create rumors of a simulcast.....

Obviously it was an audition. Question is - for L.A. or is Infinity getting them prepped for SF??

Did anybody out there listen to them? What did they talk about?

KLSX has been the testing ground for most of the applicants to 106.9 though most who took their shot didn't exactly knock over management. In the beginning, Elvis and JV were a considerationg but it was thought that their prima donna baggage just wasn't worth the headache, say nothing of their material, which wasn't appropriate for the direction Infinity wanted to go in with SF. But they've been persistent about getting a tryout (they have a very good agent), and they're seasoned broadcasters who could probably figure out how to adapt. They may finally have convinced management to give them a try, and quite frankly, much of what management has heard just ain't cuttin' it, so why not?

FINALLY!!! Someone on this board actually has semi accurate information (about the KLSX auditioning..It's been going on since at least April). This day will go down in History.

When have the auditions been taking place (time and day)? All around the same times?

Usually at night and on weekends, like a Friday or Saturday --tough since there's less audience listening and what you need to hear is interaction with listeners. Some applicants would spend an entire hour talking to their producer or the engineer and doing a lot of inside stuff --big mistake. Others went in a Howard Stern direction, also a mistake.

Most of the auditions took place in the summer. KLSX has been less willing to give up the air time with the start of the fall book.
