By coincidence these were all hits during 1985. But back to the topic...
If Elvis had stayed around another decade or so, IMO there is no reason he couldn't have embellished his stage act with the aforementioned songs, all of which would have been showcases for both his stage orchestra (could you call it anything less?) and his own karate kicks (provided he didn't get more and more corpulent
). But he would have to retitle the Henley hit "Memphis Grill" to show a little provincialism.
As for recording them in the studio, that's another matter IMO.
Can anyone else suggest songs that other artists released after the King left us, that he could have recorded or otherwise performed?
