Emergencies=AM radio (Blackout)

Inspite of all the modern communications gear, two DSl lines, cell, etc I and my neighbors turned to AM news radio when our power went out this afternoon. When power went out first thing I did was look out over the avenue, then tune to wcbs and start recording.

I'am including an approx 12 min aircheck of WCBS-am from this period, it's not all-that-interesting but its a record. Two thing you'll notice, the slight intermittent fading was caused by my carring the radio into the staircases in my apt building as I checked on some of the older neighbors and gave them flashlights and a couple radios. Also you'll notice the hiss and degraded frequency response caused by the use of IBOC. When I recorded the 2003 blackout, the quality was better.
