EMF buying WWTB

AllAccess.com is reporting that Sea-Comm is selling WWTB/Topsail Beach to Educational Media Foundation. No doubt EMF will program its K-LOVE or AIR1 format.

The station currently simulcasts The Big Talker WLTT/Shallotte-Wilmington. WWTB has a CP to move closer to Jacksonville, NC and move from 103.9 to 104.1.

I was surprised Sea-Comm, which has radio outlets here in Wilmington, decided to sell WWTB, and
in the process, change frequencies from 103.9 to 104.1, which will mean lesser coverage of what
will be a "Satellite" Christian station, in fact the group making the purchase, EMF Media, has a
100,000 watt station serving us from North Myrtle Beach at 88.1, WKVC, with a contemporary
christian format, so they may try to get a permit for a power increase, they will need one if they
are going to make it work and earn their $900,000 they spent to purchase them.

Why can't they bring back standards? I feel sorry for anyone who lives or vacations where this station is.

And I don't know what the problem with K-Love is, but I can't pick it up in my motel room near the former Air Force Base. Which is a good thing.
