Another example of a small college selling its FM station to EMF. Shaw College in Raleigh just sold WSHA-FM and two translators to the non-commercial religious company. Read the full story here:

Not unexpected since this is a very small college, fewer than 2000 students, and they really can't afford the costs of running an FM non-com anymore. Of course the college says it's progress, and it will turn the station's jazz programming into a webcast. But the fact is that no one will listen to the webcast, because there are much better sources for jazz music on the internet.
Checking the ratings, WSHA is the lowest rated station in Raleigh, with a .2 share. There is another college-owned jazz station in town that is ranked higher.
