EMF CEO resigns

Butker referred to "Deadly Sin" and suggested that Women do not need careers. Yes, he is entitled to his beliefs. He is not entitled to pass judgement or make decisions for others. That's exactly what has been happening since Roe V Wade was overturned. That should be a private matter between the patient and doctor.

Hospitals and the Red Cross provide services. EMF wants money for something that Jesus said was free...
Women don't need men to mansplain to them what they should be doing with their lives, or that they wasted money going to college instead of popping out babies. Suburban Nashville is becming a sort-of right-wing Hollywood.

This guy thinks they do. "Cook my dinner and have my babies" is his advice to women. That will provide joy and fulfillment. Gay people are "Deadly sinners" in his opinion. Many Christians practice a unique brand of hypocrisy...

The player's mother is a reknowned physisist. She apparently didn't stay home and make Dad sammiches.

How about the total lack of anything like a beach?
After my second or third year in Puerto Rico, where we had over 100 world class beaches usable every day of the year, we ended up going maybe two or three times a year to the shore. And even then, it was mostly to rent a weekend cottage or condo unit and have barbecues and a party or two.

It was the same thing as eating bananas in Ecuador, the world's largest producer of them: "bananas are to feed the hogs and to sell to the gringos" and seldom eaten locally except for the delicious local subsistente for potato chips made from plantains.

That is not what he said. He said that building a family is important and can be just as rewarding to many.

This is a perfect example of what I have observed and commented on going back more than half a century to when a group of use in the news media would look at the international reports to headline-making events in Ecuador. Every school of thought from TASS and Prensa Latina to AFP and Reuters to AP and UPI had a different perspective on our local big news events. Some reports were so obsessed with a particular perspective that it was hard to see the actual event that we had lived though locally in the content.

Another example.

In the six years I lived in Kansas City, I never went once to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, a world-class institution. Even though I could walk there from my house in about half an hour. Even though I drove past the east side of the museum every day for six years on my way to and from work. Even though I worked at a company with a lot of artists (and its own extensive art collection). Some of them were friends. Since I moved away, I visit every time I'm back in Kansas City. Then I wonder, why the hell didn't I go there when I lived nearby? Such a rich resource was so close by and I overlooked it!

Some of it probably stems from getting wrapped up in the day-to-day necessities of life and work and so on.

No. He said to Women --"I expect that most of you will be more excited about your marriage and children you will bring into the world ". How does he know that? I know many people who lead fulfilling lives without kids or marriage. Keep in mind that this was said at a College Graduation ceremony. In 1950's many women only worked until Marriage. Society expected them to stay at home and raise the kids. That seems to be Butker"s mindset.

You also overlooked his statement about Pride Month. He is judging people by using the "Deadly Sin" comment. He was projecting his beliefs as the path for fulfillment for others. Many Christians have that obnoxious habit...

Here in the southwest, EMF competes with Radio Training Network and has for quite some time. They may not say “compete“, but they’re competing for donations.
Where is Radio Training Network? I thought it was H.I.S Radio in Greenville SC.

I mentioned Billy Graham's operation earlier but it's just one really strong station and a couple of satellite operations in Tennessee and Rock Hill SC. That was in response to the statement Christian radio seemed to be moving to the Nashville area.

Heh, Radio Training Network. Those don't sound like code words for a cult or anything...
Kind of like the Chinese government Uyghur "Reeducation Camps", or here in the U.S. "Detransition Training"
One would think by the name alone we'd be talking about an institution that trained future radio broadcasters, but........apparently not the case.

Sorry but RTN's Jim Campbell is a pioneer in Christian music radio. His two hour weekly show evolved into WCIE Lakewood Florida. RTN grew out of the WCIE sale to Moody in the late 1980s. And yes. Part of the ministry's goal is to train, to develop, to mentor young Christian broadcasters. Perhaps the best known being Jon Hull of Hope Media KSBJ Houston. Jon, among other things, has drawn from his experience and developed KSBJ's own mentoring program.

RTN offers the His Radio network of stations and The Joy Fm network of stations along with similar stations under other names in Springfield Mo and Augusta GA. While they cover a good portion of FLA, GA and parts of AL and the Chattanooga TN market they do also have a lot of coverage of the Carolinas. Their His Radio is based at Greenville SC licensed WLFJ. They also have signals in Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Greenwood, the Raleigh metro, Charlotte, Fayetteville, Toccoa GA, Rocky Mount plus others. The Joy FM has its main studios in Sarasota that feeds most of the stations all or some of the time. They have a studio in Peachtree City GA that is the base for GA's Joy FM but is mainly airs the main feed from florida with GA based Midday Show. They still do a little local in Dothan but recently it added a more of the Florida feed. RTN also runs 2 modern worship formats "Joy Worship" & "His Radio Praise" that airs on HD subchannels of several stations but HIs Radio Praise does have a couple of FM signals that blanket most of the upstate of SC. They also run a Christian CHR feed "His Radio Z" and Christian Rhythmic CHR "LF Radio" mainly on HD subchannels with a handful of translators. The also have Classic CCM from Classic His Radio that is mainly online but does have a signal or two in the upstate of SC. Plus the Classic Joy is all online.

Joy FM is a network of Southern Gospel stations based in Winston-Salem NC. That complicates the situation.
