Considering that would be well outside the 0.25 mV/m coverage of the station with a directional array at full 2 kilowatts, there's no way in hell the station can be heard in Lake Charles.. unless it was running illegal power.
AM propagation behaves differently than FM propagation. I'll be grad to point you to some free courses sponsored by the Society of Broadcast Engineers, if you'd like to learn about how medium wave signals perform at different times of the day and night.

Closing this thread. It has pestered me for three days, and I got COVID in New York at the NAB and just can't deal with this now. Behave, folks.
