EMF grabs another signal in the area

I remember listening to 106.9 back when the music was good and they had newscasts which included news from not only North Carolina but also South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
 
In doing some research for a client this week I learned the real reason why WEGO was taken silent. Beasley owns the land where the transmitter site was located. 2B Productions decided to not renew the lease.

I am hearing 2B Productions is trying to sell WEGO. Not sure who would want to buy a stand alone AM with no transmitter site.

In a related note, the legal station ID on WSAT these days starts with "Since 1948, 101.7 FM". It finishes of course with "1280 WSAT Salisbury".

I guess they just don't care about Concord any more. However, the signal's not too bad on 1280.
