Thanks for all the interesting info., and answers to my questions. I hadn't noticed that EMF had temporarily set the 102.9 translator to rebroadcast WQME, as I usually use recnet.com for my lookups, because IMO it is a much better interface than FCC CDBS. Recnet, however, only updates their database weekly I think. I understand why, but of course it means changes can take longer to show up.
Also, looking at the three stations for Air1 in Idaho, one of them even has a translator, so there are 4 frequencies. My guess is that perhaps there is some sort of rocky/rough terrain issue that makes FM reception difficult?
I guess it remains to be seen what format EMF will choose for their new stations. And my guess is that once WWMU is on the air, EMF may be hoping that the law is changed to allow satellation outside of the reserved band, so that they can put a different network on the translator rather than paralleling WWMU, or perhaps, they could sell it to Horizon Christian Fellowship / CSN / whatever they are this month, who seems to be attempting to build a rather large network. Another buyer might be the Jesus First Network / WJCF, but that would be too much of a competitor to EMF, I would think, since WJCF is also a Christian AC format.
